Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our client's medical affairs team. This role will cover the entire USA and focus on supporting our innovative products in the fields of laparoscopic surgery. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical or scientific background, expertise in one or more of these therapeutic areas, and a deep understanding of abdominal soft tissue anatomy. This individual will serve as a key scientific resource for healthcare professionals, KOLs, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Scientific Expertise
- Serve as the primary scientific resource for healthcare professionals, KOLs, and internal teams.
- Provide in-depth scientific and clinical support for our products, including presentations, discussions, and educational materials.
- Stay current on the latest clinical data, publications, and trends in laparoscopic surgery, general surgery, GYN, and URO.
KOL Engagement
- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with KOLs, academic institutions, and clinical centers of excellence.
- Organize and lead advisory boards, roundtables, and other scientific exchange activities.
- Represent the company at medical conferences, trade shows, and scientific meetings.
Clinical Support
- Collaborate with the clinical and R&D teams to support clinical trials, investigator-initiated studies (IIS), and real-world evidence (RWE) initiatives.
- Provide field-based medical insights to inform product development, clinical strategies, and educational programs.
- Support the training of sales and marketing teams on scientific and clinical aspects of our products.
Compliance and Collaboration
- Ensure all activities comply with regulatory, legal, and ethical standards.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including medical affairs, clinical development, marketing, and sales.
- Contribute to the development of medical affairs strategies and plans.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent) in a relevant scientific or clinical field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as an MSL or in a similar role within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry.
- Strong background in laparoscopic surgery, general surgery, gynecology (GYN), or urology (URO).
- Deep anatomical knowledge of the abdominal soft tissues is highly preferred.
- Clinical experience (e.g., as a surgeon, nurse, or allied health professional) is a plus.
